Diesel torque means it does not care about wet grass or steep ground, and the D1503 engine will outlast three generations of operator if the oil gets changed. Worth the price gap from the F251 if you actually mow for a living.

Buying second-hand
£7500-15500 used. Hours under 2000 are excellent, under 4000 acceptable with full service stamps. Confirm the PowerFold collector if listed, that single accessory is £3000 if bought separately. Hydraulic deck-lift pressure-test on any unit over 3500 hours, deck-lift cylinder seals are the standard wear point.
