Our verdict
The bottom line
A reasonable urban-garden robot at the entry of the wire-free category. Husqvarna 305 still wins on durability and dealer support, but if no boundary wire is the priority, the i108E is the cheap way in.

Buying second-hand
Used-market tip
£400–700 used. RTK base must be included with mounting bracket. Most i108E units are recent — confirm purchase date and warranty status. Reset Segway account before purchase. Avoid units stored outside; the dock electronics corrode in damp UK weather.
Where to look: Facebook Marketplace and Gumtree are usually 20–30% cheaper than eBay UK for petrol mowers because most sellers want local pickup. eBay tends to win on cordless and electric (lighter, easier to ship). Always insist on a starting demonstration before paying.
