Our verdict
The bottom line
A perfectly fine first petrol mower for a small flat lawn. Do not expect it to last 15 years like a Honda. Treat as disposable.

Buying second-hand
Used-market tip
Used Webb Classic should be £70–120. If asking £150+, walk — buy new from B&Q for £230 instead. Look for fuel staining around the carb (sign of stale petrol left over winter). The engine is generic Chinese-made, so no real brand value — only buy if it starts on the day of viewing.
Where to look: Facebook Marketplace and Gumtree are usually 20–30% cheaper than eBay UK for petrol mowers because most sellers want local pickup. eBay tends to win on cordless and electric (lighter, easier to ship). Always insist on a starting demonstration before paying.
